There have so been so many natural disasters this year that it might be easy to focus on the most recent and forget the ones that aren’t as fresh in our minds. They still have ongoing struggles and just because there aren’t any big fundraiser events going on doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still donate for disaster relief. Mami Jewell the owner of AZUL has 3 amazing gowns in her store that were created specifically for the disaster in Japan. She’s an extremely talented designer who also happens to be Japanese. The gowns are called Esperanca and they’ve been out for a bit now but I haven’t had the chance to go over and get one. Each gown is priced at $500L with all the proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross. All three gowns are equally beautiful – Egretta is a gorgeous flowy white gown and the original Esperance is a beautiful full skirted red ballgown with 2 skirt options. And then the one I chose, the newest release called Esperanca Mirai. Mirai is a Japanese word the means “the Future”. I’m not sure how long the gowns will be available my guess is awhile yet but still go check it out!
