Hi blog-o-shpere it’s Kaidy again commandeering control of Aya’s blog (or politely asking permission lol). I’ve been wanting to do Berry’s FL Meme but I haven’t had the time until now. Disney Fantasies

I LOVE all things Disney. I really do. It makes my inner 12 year-old girl blissfully happy lol.

I especially love Ariel and The Little Mermaid is in my top 5 favorite Disney movies. Who isn’t a fan of the cute red-head mermaid with the gorgeous voice? (That, and Prince Eric is hot!)

And I’ve been jamming to Disney music all day, hence the inspiration for the post. I wanted to take Ariel and Eric, modernize them a bit, while still trying to channel their original looks. (Btw, Rathe is still mad at me for making him wear skinny jeans. LOL!) They ended up a bit darker in editing than I wanted but oh well. Note to check next time lol.

Sleepless, Dreamless

I’m feeling a bit like the princess from the Princess and the Pea lately. I’m tired and sleep comes but doesn’t stay and I’m very restless, which I’m not entirely sure why that is (unless someone stashed a pea under my mattress without my knowledge). I just moved recently in RL so maybe I just need more time to adjust to the new place?

Anyway, enough of my ramblings and onto the goodies! I call it the Princess Fair but this lovely new event of all things pretty and princess-y (which is right up my alley) is called Fit for a Princess, where this lovely gown and the tower I rezzed the bed prop in are from. Go check it out!

I’m In Love With Being Queen

Just a quickie post today. I’ve been feeling rather blah in RL so I decided dressing up and making my avi all fabulous would be a good mood lifter and it certianly helped. I love the jewel neckline on this drss and the pop of color it is! Btw, Orchid is Pantone’s color of 2014 so I’ll be looking for and blogging a lot of orchid things this year.

As a side note – sorry for the plain set-up – still trying to work on my photo taking skills and making photo sets/setting up rooms. I’m a horrible SL intereior decorator lol.

The Book Meme

I’ve been following Strawberry Singh ever since I was a noob blogger and if you read her too you’ll know she does a meme every Monday. I finally managed to do one and on time too! Usually I take the pictures by like Wednesday and then forget about them until Sunday which then prompts me to scap it and wait for the next. And the cycle continues lol. This week is titled “The Book Meme”, you can find out more info HERE.

1. Are you a bookworm? Oh totally. Although not as much as I was as a child. Up through my teen years my parents would bribe me NOT to read as much.

2. Which do you prefer: hardcover, paperback or electronic? I prefer hardcover because they last longer but I’m starting to come around to electronic.

3. Which book is your favorite? Ohh that’s a toughie. Eragon is one of my top all time reads as well as Sarah’s Key. It’s a toss up between the two.

4. Which children’s book is your favorite? Where The Wild Things Are

5. What’s the last book you’ve read? Reading through a teen/YA series right now called The Looking Glass Wars. Currently on book #2 Seeing Redd

6. Name a book that had a strong impact on you: Don’t laugh but I loved Little Women. The family dynamic in that book really touched me – how they all bonded together in spite of an absent father. Maybe because it was just me and my brother growing up and we were not close.

7. Favorite & least favorite book genres? Fantasy and historical fiction. Not huge on vampire/werewolf books but if they’re done well I don’t mind.

8. Favorite & least favorite book-to-movie adaptions? Anne of Green Gables probably one of my faves. That and The Help. Least favorite – any of the HP books.

9. Have you ever bought a book based on the cover alone? Nope. The content has to be compelling for me to take it home. I usually read the first chapter in the store and decide then.

10. Where do you usually buy your books? B & N

11. Do you go to the library? Rarely. If I like a book I’d rather own it.

12. How many books do you own? More than I can count.

13. If you were to write a book about Second Life, which topic would you focus on? Not even sure where I’d begin. Maybe a shopping guide? lol

A Fresh RE-start

Once again I’m back…this time for real (I think) lol. While I had fully intended to be blogging regularly by mid-November last year, RL and SL stress caught up with me, so I took an unintended break from blogging and from SL. Looking back, I think I got too caught up and overwhelmed with all the events and other things I was invited to blog and didn’t know how to balance my blogging and my life. Between that and dealing with issues at my work and plain being sick, it was more than enough to drive me crazy. I am back now and making a few changes and try and simplify this a little. First off, I’m going to try and “schedule” blogging. Well, schedule probably isn’t the right word but the general idea I’m going for is that I’m making myself post at least once a week instead of doing 3 or 4 a day or even a week. Second, I’m not going to apply to any events or do a whole lot of blogger pack things right now, at least until I get my sea legs back under me, so-to-speak. Third, I’m giving Kaiden more blogging time. I want to diversify a little bit and with the way she dresses – a little bit edgier and funkier than I do – I think it’ll add some nice added interest. I love her style and I wish I had the balls to wear some of the stuff she does.

Enough rambling though and onto the clothes! Since I haven’t logged in pretty much since last fall, I had to catch up on all the new releases. Let’s just say I spent a pretty penny updating my wardrobe lol. (Therathe is so going to kill me when he finds out how much I spent! Eeps!) Here’s to a fresh re-start with a new hair, skin, clothes – even a tattoo! (I feel like such a wild woman!) At some point I’ll have to bust out my new feet and hands too lol.

The darling freckled skin – perfect for gingers, I might add – is currently a GG at Al Vulo! (It’s free to join if you’re not a member.) I went wild and added a tattoo from CoLLisions. I’m not normally big on tats in SL but I have a not-so-secret love for all things Asian and Oriental. Since that’s my heritage I just had to wear it.
