52 Weeks of Color – #36 Hot Cinnamon

So I finally got around to doing my hot cinnamon post. I’ve been putting it off because I am not fond of this color.

I found this belly dancer outfit in the bowels of my inventory that is sort of cinnamon-colored and it was an easy outfit for a pic. I honestly can’t remember where or when I got it. Maybe off a MM board in my noob days? Anyway, hot cinnamon is finished and now off to edit my Papaya Whip.

52 Weeks of Color – #21 Lemon Chiffon

The weeks are just flying by! Week 21 is almost halfway, whoa!

I’ve known lemon chiffon is a type of cake but until now I never thought about it as color. Anyway, RL is crazy hectic now since the school year is coming to a close. 3 1/2 weeks and I’ll be finished with the madness. Until then, I may happen to be a bit lazy with the blogging.

Coastal Dreaming

I found this beautiful daybed by Baffle! at the Pose Fair. I can absolutely see something like this in RL. I imagine it hanging in the screened-in porch of a cute little B&B somewhere near Nantucket, where guests can relax and feel the ocean’s breeze on a gorgeous summer day.

Just thinking of that makes me want to head there now. Maybe if I go to sleep I can dream myself there.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge – #12 St. Patrick’s Blue

I never would have guessed there was a color such as St. Patrick’s Blue. We tend to associate St. Patty with all things that are green like shamrocks and celebrate with green rivers, green milkshakes and anything else green you could possibly thing of. There was even a girl at the party I went to last night with green hair! I learned this week the blue was the original color of Ireland. Who’d have thunk huh? (I am thankful though that this week is not green since I’m a little over-exposed on the color now.) I had a whole story and several pics done for this week but for whatever reason my computer didn’t save them properly and now they’re unusable. Go figure. I was too irritated to re-edit so sorry girls all you get this week is my backside.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge – #11 Aquamarine

I love love love this color! Aquamarine is definitely one of my favorites. Even so I had a little bit of trouble with it. I promised myself no matter what, I wouldn’t be a mermaid. It seemed a bit too obvious to me especially after adding a pic of an avocado last week. Of course as soon as I decided not to be a mermaid, stuff popped up everywhere that seemed to taunt me with the fact. I even got in my head that teen movie Aquamarine that was about a mermaid. (Yes I’ve seen it and don’t ask. lol.)

I was ready to give into the taunting mermaid when a shopping spree with one of my best SL friends saved me. I found this adorable summery outfit from  GizzA. Hooray!

Next week’s color looks fun. Never heard of St. Patrick’s blue but you learn something new everyday right?

Lady in Red

I hit The Dressing Room Blue the other day to check out the new featured items. I’m feeling super sexy in this pretty red dress from Milk Motion and this gorgeous skin from Atomic. Bonus features? The dress is mesh! I totally wasn’t expecting that – I don’t think it’s labeled as such unless I missed it which is quite possible.

At first I wasn’t sure about pairing the red lips with the red dress. I debated back and forth if it was too much red but I stepped away from the computer for a bit to mull it over and came back loving it. I’m definitely not bold enough to try fire engine lips like this in RL but it’s damn sexy on my avi at least!

Vintage Fair!

I finally made it into the Vintage Fair late last night. Yay! I felt like a kid in a candy store. There are so many great items and I am just ridiculously happy with the whole thing. I just know I am going to be broke at the end of it.

Just in case you haven’t heard, the Vintage Fair started on Friday and runs until December 3rd so if you haven’t made it in yet there is plenty of time. There are two sims full of stores (Retro and  Classic) or you to check out. Here are a few of my favorite things so far. All of these dresses are available on the Classic sim.
