52 Weeks of Color – Russet & Feldgrau

Punching out two colors in one post since I’m a week behind. My RL tends to get super hectic this time of year.

Russet is so beautiful and perfect for the upcoming fall. I love that it ranges from deep reddish to more brownish. And Feldgrau…. well…..um….yeah.According to Wikipedia it’s a light grey-green, the same color as the German army’s field uniforms in WWI. I would never have guess that in a million years. The things you learn! I suppose that’s why it’s called a challenge right? You stretch your knowledge of history not just your color palette.

52 Weeks of Color – #32 Jonquil

It’s crazy how far into the color challenge we are! The year is more than half over! *sniffles a little* I had to think about this week. Jonquil sounded vaguely familiar but I couldn’t place it. I never would have guessed it was a yellow until now.

I found this gorgeous new top from {Zaara} that’s partial mesh and the color is perfect for this week. Hoping now that we don’t have canary as a color. Eek. I’ m super excited for the purple next week. It’s actually a color that I’ve heard of! Hooray!

Be a Deer

I finally made my way over to Al Vulo yesterday to see what the May group gift was. It’s this darling faun-type skin that I had to have.  Only one problem there – I’ve never been a deer/faun before! I was asking all over plurk last night where to shop.

At some point I realized I did promise Therathe that I wouldn’t ever do a faun. (I’m thinking he’s not a big fan of hooves.) I cheated and sort of did a half faun-girl because the skin is too cute not to. I got to do my faun and still (sort of) keep my promise.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge – #12 St. Patrick’s Blue

I never would have guessed there was a color such as St. Patrick’s Blue. We tend to associate St. Patty with all things that are green like shamrocks and celebrate with green rivers, green milkshakes and anything else green you could possibly thing of. There was even a girl at the party I went to last night with green hair! I learned this week the blue was the original color of Ireland. Who’d have thunk huh? (I am thankful though that this week is not green since I’m a little over-exposed on the color now.) I had a whole story and several pics done for this week but for whatever reason my computer didn’t save them properly and now they’re unusable. Go figure. I was too irritated to re-edit so sorry girls all you get this week is my backside.
