In case you haven’t heard, The Dressing Room and Dressing Room Blue have closed. They’ve come together to create a new event called The Dressing Room FUSION. 25 designers each one has up to 3 products available for purchase for a total of 60 vendors with everything priced from $40-$70L.
I have a special place in my heart for The Dressing Room. In my early days in SL, some kind soul directed me to TDR for quality clothes at cheap prices, getting me out of freebie and dollarbie clothes. While I was sad to see TDR Blue go, I’m so excited to see where TDR Fusion is headed. I’ve been twice already in the last two days and plan to head back for more!
This skin from TDR Fusion is so beautiful. It’s a darker tone than I would normally choose but I love it!

This gorgeous hair from Analog Dog didn’t need much accessorizing. With the braid over the eyes, I think it says seductive and maybe even a little bdsm-ish? Looks a bit like a blindfold.
But since there’s not enough hair for me to go completely topless, I thought I’d play that fact up with this sexy mesh corset from [Aura]. (I love the fact that it’s under-bust – very hot.) I added a touch of class with this jewelry from Kunglers which is currently available at The Dressing Room Blue. Hope you enjoyed this little bit of sexy for your Saturday.

Hello Second Life this is Kaiden writing! *waves* Aya is letting me write her post today so yay!
After much begging and prodding I tped her into the Fashion For Life event to go shopping with me. (A free outfit helps when all other tactics fail.) I was so surprised by the almost non-existent lag I almost fell right off my chair! The sims are so interesting though and I loved being able to shop without constantly crashing.
Back to Aya and FFL though. We made our way across the event’s multiple sims, stopping first at shops we both know and love and then moving on to personal favorites as well as the lesser known shops. We put our shopping focus on the donation/FFL-exclusive vendors at each spot as we teleported around the event looking for the best deals. I also bought a few non-donation items that were just too cute to pass up.
Almost two hours and several hundred possibly even several thousand L$ later we ended up back at my home. It didn’t matter how tired we were or that I had a camming-induced headache forming, the two of us sat and unpacked all our purchases and had our own mini fashion show. Before I knew it we were taking pictures and giggling madly over skype.
Pictured below is the lovely and fabulous Ayako showing off her favorite purchases. Doesn’t she look great?
I had so much shopping with my dear friend. But in all seriousness while Fashion For Life is a great shopping event, more importantly it’s a great fundraiser. If for some reason you’ve been living under a rock or you’re new to SL and don’t know about FFL, it’s part of SL’s Relay for Life raising money for the American Cancer Society.
I’m definitely for raising money for a good cause but most especially when it comes to cancer. I know my family has been touched by cancer and felt the effects although not me directly – two of my relatives died of cancer before I was born. But I’ve seen co-workers fight breast and skin cancer and it really opens your eyes up to the reality of this disease. Not only the toll it takes on the patient but family and finances too. Even though it seems that cancer survival rates are going up, I say the more money toward cancer research the better!!! Go hit up FFL and shop for a good cause. The event runs through next Tuesday, March 20. For more information about FFL check out their website http://www.fashionforlifesl.org/ or you can learn more about how to help the ACS take a peek here: http://www.cancer.org/.
Since the theme for FFL this year is “It’s Time…” this video seemed fitting
I hit The Dressing Room Blue the other day to check out the new featured items. I’m feeling super sexy in this pretty red dress from Milk Motion and this gorgeous skin from Atomic. Bonus features? The dress is mesh! I totally wasn’t expecting that – I don’t think it’s labeled as such unless I missed it which is quite possible.
At first I wasn’t sure about pairing the red lips with the red dress. I debated back and forth if it was too much red but I stepped away from the computer for a bit to mull it over and came back loving it. I’m definitely not bold enough to try fire engine lips like this in RL but it’s damn sexy on my avi at least!
I have to say that Electric Blue was less daunting than Electric Lime was. I feel like I didn’t really find the right tone of blue but I’m still fairly happy with the result.
Bright and neon colors make me think retro but I couldn’t come up with anything for this week that was 80’s-ish or even anything before that. I took a big step outside my comfort zone this week trying to do something a little more edgy than cute. The sweet and pretty things are easy for me for some reason even though my RL personality is more tomboyish than feminine but I guess SL brings out my deeply buried inner girly-girl? Who knows. Here’s what I came up with for week 35:

Until Luna’s challenge I really had no idea what color cerise was. I know that in French cerise is the word for cherry. I know now that cerise is a pretty pinkish-red color. You learn something new every day!
Quite honestly I was dreading blogging about this color, as beautiful as it is. I will be the first to admit pink is not my favorite color nor is it among my top picks when I go shopping. I usually make my way past anything pink or if I do stop I admire it very briefly and move on. BUT…after a lot of digging in my closet I found out I had more pink things than I realized. I set up a whole pink corner in my house and I’m leaving it up all week. In the end I can say it was much more fun than I was anticipating.
